Staff Attorney

The Court of Administrative Hearings is hiring a Staff Attorney 2 position in our St. Paul office.

Staff attorneys at CAH support both the administrative law and workers’ compensation areas of the court, and work on a wide variety of matters, including professional licensing discipline, energy and environmental regulatory matters, nursing home and assisted living facility compliance cases, fair campaign and data practices matters, and determinations of the benefits available to injured workers. Staff attorneys serve as a key point of contact for parties, lawyers, and the public, and at the Staff Attorney 2 level, attorneys become subject matter experts in various areas of law and serve as a mentor to newer attorneys.

Attorneys in this position support CAH’s judges and general counsel by providing advice and recommendations, conducting legal research, and drafting orders and memoranda. Our staff attorneys work on matters that touch the lives of millions of Minnesotans, and they support CAH’s mission of providing fair and impartial hearing and dispute resolution services to the entire state.
