Job Summary

Responsible for supply chain operations and initiatives including budget, inventory management, and strategy. Oversee supply chain operations staff, develop performance measures, drive process improvement, and foster a culture of continuous improvement. Manage emergency and disaster preparedness, procedural and surgical case picking, inventory demand planning, and strategies to reduce overall supply chain expense.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and oversight of day‑to‑day supply chain activities, ensuring financial targets and budgets are met.
  • Act as the main supply chain contact for site and point of escalation for issue resolution on a 24/7 basis.
  • Represent the site to outside vendors and manage vendor relationships.
  • Identify and implement streamlined processes to reduce errors, improve operational efficiency, and drive continuous improvement.
  • Maintain clinical supply knowledge for procedural and non‑procedural areas, ensuring high customer service levels.
  • Provide expertise and guidance in inventory control, purchasing, and planning.
  • Lead change‑management efforts and manage improvement projects, including product acceptance and standardization.
  • Oversee day‑to‑day staffing of the department, including leadership-level staff selection, scheduling, development, mentoring, and performance evaluations.
  • Build and develop a high‑performing, diverse, and engaged team that meets financial targets through optimal staffing models.
  • Manage inventory using an ERP tool, inventory management systems, and automated ordering systems; use analytics and statistical data for strategic decisions.
  • Oversee demand planning, inventory flow, and forecasting strategies.
  • Develop and maintain departmental policies, procedures, and inventory control practices.
  • Conduct supply chain audits, identify quality issues, and implement process improvement plans.
  • Develop, review, and refine KPIs to identify opportunities that maximize operational performance.
  • Play a key role in the Hospital Incident Command System (HICS) emergency management structure, utilizing Lean and Six Sigma tools to reduce risk and eliminate waste.
Required Qualifications
  • 3 to 7 years of experience in inventory management, including operations and use of inventory management technology systems.
  • 3 to 7 years of leadership experience, preferably in a union environment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, business, information technology, or equivalent experience.
Physical Demands

Medium workload involving lifting up to 50 lbs occasionally and up to 25 lbs frequently.

Pay Range

$44.64 to $61.76 per hour, with starting rate dependent on experience and education. Additional incentives may be available, including discretionary monetary bonuses, goal‑based bonuses, and other financial incentives.
