Procurement Specialist
We are seeking a Procurement Specialist to join our team and play a critical role in supporting procurement and subcontracting operations within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This position partners closely with manufacturing sites, supply chain teams, suppliers, and cross-functional stakeholders to ensure materials and subcontracting activities are executed efficiently and effectively through SAP.

Key Responsibilities- Manage end-to-end procurement and purchasing activities within SAP.
- Create, process, and monitor purchase orders to support manufacturing operations.
- Execute and oversee subcontracting processes, including material planning and supplier coordination.
- Collaborate with manufacturing sites, planners, suppliers, operations teams, and internal stakeholders to ensure continuity of supply.
- Identify purchasing and inventory challenges and implement solutions to minimize disruptions.
- Ensure compliance with procurement policies, procedures, and established workflows.
- Monitor supplier performance and assist in resolving issues related to delivery, quality, and inventory.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives and recommend process enhancements within procurement operations.
- Support purchasing metrics, reporting, and data analysis activities.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to less experienced procurement team members as needed.
- 5+ years of experience in procurement, purchasing, supply chain, or buyer-related roles.
- Experience supporting subcontracting operations.
- Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience creating and managing purchase orders within SAP.
- Proven ability to manage high-volume purchasing transactions in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Direct experience with SAP subcontracting processes.
- Manufacturing industry experience.
- Experience supporting chemical manufacturing, specialty materials, or engineered products environments.
- Background leading projects, mentoring team members, or serving as a procurement subject matter expert.
- Continuous improvement, process optimization, or operational excellence experience.
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Saint Paul, MN.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $38.46 - $45.67/hr individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment. Benefits are subject to change and may be subject to specific elections, plan, or program terms.
