Senior Procurement Specialist
We are seeking a Senior Procurement Specialist to support procurement and subcontracting operations within a manufacturing environment. This individual will serve as a key partner to manufacturing sites, supply chain teams, and internal stakeholders to ensure materials and subcontracting activities are executed efficiently through SAP. Key responsibilities include managing end-to-end procurement and purchasing activities within SAP, creating, maintaining, and monitoring purchase orders to support manufacturing operations, executing and overseeing subcontracting processes, including material planning and supplier coordination, partnering with manufacturing sites, planners, suppliers, operations teams, and other stakeholders to ensure continuity of supply, analyzing purchasing and inventory challenges and developing solutions to prevent disruptions, ensuring compliance with procurement policies, procedures, and established workflows, monitoring supplier performance and supporting issue resolution related to deliveries, quality, and inventory, driving process improvements and recommending efficiencies within procurement operations, supporting reporting, data analysis, and purchasing metrics as needed, and providing guidance or mentorship to junior procurement staff.

Qualifications:
Required qualifications include 5-8+ years of procurement, purchasing, supply chain, or buyer experience, subcontracting experience, 2+ years entering PO's through SAP, and proven ability to manage high-volume transactional purchasing activities. Ability to work independently while managing competing priorities is also required. Preferred qualifications include direct SAP subcontracting experience (highly preferred), manufacturing industry background, experience supporting chemical manufacturing, specialty materials, or engineered products environments, experience leading projects, mentoring others, or serving as a procurement subject matter expert, and continuous improvement or process optimization experience.

This is a contract to hire position based out of Saint Paul, MN.
Pay and Benefits:
The pay range for this position is $38.46 - $45.67/hr individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment. Benefits are subject to change and may be subject to specific elections, plan, or program terms.
