Overview
Presbyterian Homes & Services (PHS) in the Marvella community of St. Paul, MN seeks a full‑time Engineer / Maintenance Technician. The role involves maintaining buildings, grounds, and equipment in a safe, efficient manner and supporting the community’s mission of independent, purposeful living for older adults.
About the CommunityMarvella is a master‑planned senior housing community that includes senior housing, retail/commercial businesses, and market‑rate apartments. The location offers easy access to shops, dining, and natural scenery with views of the Mississippi River.
Responsibilities- Work independently and collaborate on team projects as directed by site leadership.
- Maintain a safe and secure environment for buildings, grounds, and equipment.
- Execute assignments consistent with regulations, policies, and best practices.
- Perform building and equipment repairs, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance routines.
- Manage life‑safety systems and complete daily work orders.
- Conduct general maintenance tasks such as painting, apartment turns, snow removal, and pool care.
- Coordinate with contractors and vendors.
- Respond to customer requests and address other assigned projects.
- 3–5 years experience in commercial or residential building maintenance.
- Ability to work independently, multitask, and follow directions.
- Professional communication with all customers.
- Alignment with PHS’s mission and operating philosophies.
- Proficiency in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding English.
- Availability for an after‑hours emergency on‑call rotation.
The estimated starting pay range is $26.99–$30.87 per hour. Actual pay depends on qualifications, market conditions, and may change.
