Facilities & Cleaning Operations Supervisor

Bright Star provides dependable cleaning and facility-support services for major venues throughout the Twin Cities. Our teams work behind the scenes before, during, and after concerts, sporting events, and other large gatherings to make sure each facility is clean, safe, and ready for guests.

As an Event Cleaning Supervisor, you will lead crews working at stadiums, arenas, and other client facilities. You will organize employees at the start of each shift, assign work areas, monitor productivity and cleaning quality, and make sure the team completes its work safely and on time.

This is an active, working-supervisor position. You must be comfortable directing a team while stepping in to help with cleaning tasks when needed.

• Arrive before the scheduled shift to review the assignment and prepare the work area
• Check employees in, confirm attendance, and report call-offs or staffing shortages
• Conduct a pre-shift meeting and clearly explain assignments, expectations, and safety requirements
• Divide employees into teams and assign sections, levels, restrooms, seating areas, concourses, suites, or other work areas
• Make sure employees clock in and out correctly using Bright Star's scheduling and timekeeping system
• Monitor employees throughout the shift and keep the team productive
• Inspect completed areas and correct quality issues before releasing employees
• Coordinate pre-event, during-event, and post-event cleaning operations
• Communicate staffing, supply, scheduling, and facility concerns to Bright Star management
• Maintain professional communication with venue representatives and respond promptly to their requests
• Track headcount, breaks, employee movement, and shift completion
• Train new employees on cleaning procedures, equipment use, safety, and workplace expectations
• Address attendance, conduct, performance, and teamwork concerns professionally
• Make sure cleaning chemicals, tools, carts, radios, and equipment are used and stored properly
• Complete shift reports and document incidents, injuries, property damage, or unusual circumstances
• Help with hands-on cleaning when necessary to keep the operation on schedule

• Previous supervisory, team-lead, janitorial, hospitality, warehouse, event, or facility-services experience preferred
• Ability to lead a diverse team respectfully and confidently
• Strong attendance, punctuality, and dependability
• Clear verbal communication and good organizational skills
• Ability to remain calm and make decisions in a fast-moving environment
• Comfortable using a smartphone or mobile scheduling application
• Ability to follow written instructions, floor plans, staffing plans, and client requirements
• Willingness to work evenings, overnight shifts, weekends, and holidays based on the event schedule
• Reliable transportation to venues throughout the Twin Cities
• Ability to pass any background screening required by Bright Star or its clients
• Multilingual communication skills are helpful but not required

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
• Ability to bend, reach, lift, push, and pull while completing cleaning work
• Ability to lift up to 30 pounds
• Ability to work around crowds, noise, cleaning chemicals, stairs, and changing facility conditions
• Ability to work late-night or overnight shifts when events end
