Hybrid work schedule available, up to 50% telework depending on business needs. Telework can be outside of the state of Minnesota if the candidate lives in a state bordering Minnesota and lives 50 miles or less from the primary work location. Primary work location will be the Golden Rule Building in St. Paul.
The Credit Union Program Director supervises the credit union examination team to ensure examinations are accurate and timely, provides guidance and training to examiners regarding the examination procedures and department policies, maintains current awareness of changes within the industry, and sustains current and new relationships within the credit union industry, including NCUA and NASCUS. The position is responsible for supervising and participating in the examination of State‑Chartered Credit Unions and their subsidiaries within the State of Minnesota.
Minimum Qualifications- Five (5) years of experience performing analysis, exercising judgment, and providing leadership.
- Experience in audit, risk, or compliance within the financial services industry.
- Demonstrated supervisory or leadership experience, with organizational and interpersonal skills to direct, develop, and engage staff.
- Leadership experience can include being a supervisor, lead worker, team lead, project lead, or completion of a State of Minnesota leadership program (e.g., ELI or SLI) or comparable program.
- Experience preparing comments and recommendations for decision makers.
- Experience writing and editing formal reports for external distribution.
- Experience presenting complex or technical information to stakeholders.
- Class D Driver's License.
- Formal supervisory experience of professional staff, including duties such as staff development, setting goals or priorities, employee onboarding/training, and performance reviews.
- Bachelor's or Advanced Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Economics or a related field.
- Experience working with financial regulators.
- Knowledge of GAAP and practices sufficient to analyze and interpret fiscal data.
Requires occasional moving of articles such as boxes, accounting records, laptop computer, and portable printer.
