Primary Responsibilities and Attitude
The role of Managing Director, Client Services will be an integral part of our team. On a day-to-day basis, you will lead the team of Directors and Associates and ensure all aspects of the client’s service requirements are met. Our business is continually evolving, and you will help us shape its growth. We’re looking for someone who is known for their work ethic, taking initiative, and considers themselves to be entrepreneurial, innovative, and likes a challenge.
You are responsible for:
- Manage a team of Senior Directors and their pods including training, performance management, capacity, and career development.
- Manage a small portfolio of transfer agent clients with a strong focus on responsiveness, client retention and growth by delivering exceptional service
- Manage higher level or escalated interactions with clients, with a focus on efficient service and timely resolution; elevate to senior management when appropriate
- Review contract provisions for onboarding clients against current service standards
- Identify new products and services for existing clients, making proper introductions to the subject matter experts or sales team
- Maintain a strong focus on retention and growth by ensuring exceptional service
- Lead weekly department meetings and critically assess the current processes with a focus on finding efficient and innovative solutions
- Responsible for the revenue for your team including timely and correct billing for all services & follow up on aged receivables
- Supports Client Services team during absences and high volumes
- Other duties as required
Skills and Experience
- Minimum 10 years’ financial services experience, preferably in the transfer agent, corporate trust, brokerage, or related industry
- Strong leadership and mentoring skills
- Ability to communicate clearly with individuals at all levels of an organization, through both verbal and written communication
- Sense of urgency and ability to prioritize appropriately based on client needs
- Ability to travel as required to client annual meetings or other meetings as requested
