Position OverviewHousing Hub is seeking a highly organized and experienced Maintenance Manager / Maintenance Dispatch professional to oversee and coordinate maintenance operations across our portfolio. This role is critical to ensuring timely, cost-effective, and high-quality maintenance services while maintaining strong relationships with tenants, owners, vendors, and internal technicians.
The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and a solid mechanical aptitude.
Key Responsibilities- Dispatch and manage maintenance work orders from start to completion
- Coordinate daily operations with in-house technicians and third-party vendors
- Hire, train, manage, and, when necessary, terminate maintenance technicians
- Review, approve, and negotiate vendor bids and invoices
- Oversee maintenance billing and ensure accurate cost tracking
- Communicate effectively with property owners regarding maintenance issues, approvals, and updates
- Serve as a point of contact for tenant maintenance concerns and follow-up
- Ensure maintenance work meets quality, safety, and compliance standards
- Troubleshoot issues using mechanical knowledge and problem-solving skills
- Prior experience in maintenance management, dispatch, or property management preferred
- Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of building systems
- Proven experience working with vendors and service providers
- Leadership experience, including hiring and managing staff
- Excellent organizational, time-management, and multitasking skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to handle high-volume work orders in a fast-paced environment
