As a Paid Leave Development Supervisor, you will direct Paid Leave developers and quality assurance analysts responsible for the development, maintenance, and enhancement of Paid Leave applications and related documentation for DEED. You will lead the Paid Leave Development unit and serve as the highest‑level technical source, hiring, coaching, supervising, and training the team. You will also contribute to technical strategy and project leadership.

• Minimum of four (4) years of IT experience in Application Development.
• Two (2) years of lead or supervisory experience, including leading software development of large, complex projects.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly, foster mutual understanding, and guide teams through change.
• Customer‑focused approach grounded in active listening, empathy, and solution‑oriented problem‑solving.

• Experience with Ruby on Rails programming and application development.
• Experience with Salesforce automation, Apex development, flows, and Omnistudio.
• Experience with AWS architecture, including Postgre
  
  SQL, Elastic Container Service (ECS), and Elastic Container Registry (ECR).

• Proven ability to foster team development through collaboration, trust, and knowledge sharing.
• Knowledge of software development best practices, including test case creation, manual testing, automated scripting, defect management, QA metrics, and UAT support.
• Demonstrated supervisory experience covering human resource policies, labor contracts, staff performance management, and contractor oversight, with a focus on hiring, coaching, and development.
• Ability to set priorities and manage multiple competing priorities to meet tactical and strategic goals.
• Critical thinking skills to evaluate complex development scenarios, anticipate outcomes, assess options, and drive decisions.
