Metropolitan Council is the regional planning agency for the Minneapolis/St. Paul metropolitan area providing essential services to our region: transportation, wastewater collection and treatment, growth and development of local communities, affordable housing programs, and regional park systems.

This position is eligible for hybrid (remote and onsite) teleworking.
ResponsibilitiesBudget Manager plans, organizes, coordinates, and directs the operating and capital budget activities. They also manage and direct staff in performing long‑range forecasting and strategic planning for revenues and expenditures of Council funds. In addition, they provide financial analysis to identify budget trends and financial risks and opportunities.
QualificationsBachelor's or higher degree in accounting, finance, economics, business administration, or related field; AND six or more years of experience in budget development and financial analysis, including three or more years of team lead, project lead, and/or supervisory/managerial experience.
