A well-established and growing utility infrastructure contractor is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead complex utility construction projects while helping mentor and develop project management teams across the Upper Midwest (Minnesota, Iowa, Colorado).
This is a newly created leadership position with significant visibility and influence. The successful candidate will oversee multiple projects, drive operational excellence, support project managers, and serve as a key partner to senior leadership.

St. Paul, Minnesota (Onsite) with up to 20% travel | Direct Hire | Salary: $125,000-$150,000 + Bonus Potential]]
- Manage multiple utility construction projects from planning through completion
- Oversee project budgets, forecasting, scheduling, and financial performance
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, contractors, municipalities, and internal stakeholders
- Coordinate engineering, permitting, procurement, field operations, and construction teams
- Monitor project risks and develop proactive solutions
- Lead project meetings, status updates, and performance reviews
- Partner with estimating and operations teams to support project execution
- Mentor and develop project managers while promoting accountability and continuous improvement
- Ensure projects meet safety, quality, budget, and schedule objectives
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or related field preferred
- 5+ years of construction project management experience; utility construction strongly preferred
- Experience managing natural gas, electric utility, telecommunications, power delivery, pipeline, or related infrastructure projects
- Leadership or mentoring experience with project teams
- Strong understanding of project scheduling, budgeting, forecasting, and customer relationship management
- Experience with Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, and Microsoft Office preferred
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- A proactive, "go-getter" mentality and desire to help elevate a growing organization
