- This position is eligible for telework for applicants who reside in Minnesota or in a bordering state, with supervisory approval and satisfactory performance. If you live in a state bordering Minnesota, you must live within 50 miles or less from the primary work location to be eligible for telework.
- Developing, refining and participating in the Department of Human Services (“DHS) contracts process for all Department contracts, including professional/technical contracts, grants, income contracts, annual plans and master contracts;
- Developing an Annual Contract Plan for the Department;
- Reviewing all contracts initiated by the Department to ascertain compliance with all legal requirements as to form and execution and compliance with both state and federal laws;
- Refining and managing data on all Department contracts and contractors;
- Integrating the Statewide Integrated Financial Tools (SWIFT) with the procedures utilized by the Department for contracts execution;
- Developing and maintaining a contracts database that enables the department to meet all reporting requirements;
- Co-leading the integration and continuous monitoring of contracting procedures to assure the successful procurement of professional/technical and grant services for the Department.

Leadership experience can include:- Experience as a supervisor, lead worker, team lead, project lead;
- Completion of a State of Minnesota leadership program (e.g. ELI, L4);
- A paid/unpaid position leading a program or chairing a committee (e.g. ERG) - experience must include:
- 1+ year of experience identifying issues, goals and strategic actions
- 100+ hours per year time commitment
AND
Four (4) years of experience in contract management, development, writing and monitoring.
Experience must also demonstrate:- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
