This position is located at Central Office in St. Paul and may work a hybrid schedule, or work in the office pursuant to policy requirements. If working a hybrid schedule, the incumbent will be required to make a telework arrangement with their supervisor. The incumbent will be expected to work in the office as determined by policy and discussion with their supervisor.
This position provides executive leadership to guide MnDOT’s strategic direction, overseeing agency-wide planning, organizational development, and management of programs and services. It integrates administrative, human resources, financial, and information resources to support the delivery of Minnesota’s transportation system. The role sets and manages agency policies and strategies, representing the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) and Executive Leadership Team (ELT) to ensure consistent business practices across MnDOT.
Occasional in-state travel is required approximately 5% of the time.

Three years of managerial experience OR four years of professional supervisory experience that demonstrates the following:
- Experience leading and implementing strategic planning for financial, policy, and legislative initiatives in a large organization.
- Experience applying standards and best practices for internal controls.

Broad experience in strategic management, financial planning, budgeting, and financial principles, with the ability to clearly communicate complex concepts to agency leadership. - Policy making & strategic direction:
