The Center for Victims of Torture is hiring a Program Manager to provide leadership and program management for CVT’s Hope & Belonging program in St. Paul, Minnesota, and will ensure the smooth operation and delivery of services for clients at the Hope & Belonging Program. They will foster and maintain cohesive interdisciplinary care teams as they provide rehabilitative care to survivors of torture & war trauma at H&B, and support the design, development and implementation of new program partnerships or models at H&B.

The Program Manager will also oversee the billing and other fee for services programs.

Position open to:

  • Candidates located in the St. Paul, MN area who are authorized to work in the U.S. and will not need CVT to sponsor them on a work visa.

Remote status:

  • Position is partially remote. 80% in-office in St. Paul, Minnesota and 20% remote.

We are an international nonprofit dedicated to healing survivors of torture. We offer rehabilitation services to those who have been tortured, train partners around the world who can prevent and treat torture, and advocate for human rights and an end to torture.

We are headquartered in Minnesota, and we have US offices in Georgia and DC, as well as offices in Africa, the Middle East, and Mexico.

Responsibilities:
  • Program Management: Develop the annual budget and manage program expenditures within budget parameters. Create and maintain positive relationships with program stakeholders. Coordinate with HR, Finance and health information management team to ensure the smooth running of the program day to day and troubleshoot collaboratively on issues as they arise.
  • Staff Management: Supervision of program supervisors, client services coordinator, insurance case manager and interpreters. Build a strong and cohesive team. Oversee the hiring, training, coaching, and developing staff members through ongoing feedback as well as formal performance management systems. Hold regular supervisory meetings with direct reports. Coordinate and facilitate team meetings. Ensure achievement of goals of direct supervises. Develop and maintain annual work plans for direct supervises.

    Ensure a flow of communication between the program and the rest of the agency.
  • Program Outreach: Manage community outreach activities in an effort to build and maintain relationships with relevant refugee communities. Assist with development of additional community programming. Provide representation as the project leader at various community and stakeholder meetings.
  • Volunteer program
    : PM will hire, train and supervise program volunteers, leads and coordinate the volunteer program.
  • Coordinate training and speaking
    :
    Build awareness of CVT’s clinical programs in Minnesota. Provide training on torture and war trauma to schools, community programs and immigrant/refugee service providers. In collaboration with External Relations staff, speak to visitors and media about clinical services and torture treatment.
  • Internship Program: Develop and manage clinical internship program for master’s and bachelor’s level social work and counseling students.
Qualifications:

Required education, experience, certificates, licenses or registrations

  • Advanced degree in social work, psychology, counseling, public administration, or related field
