Position: Quality Inspector I ($23-$26/hr.)

Responsibilities
  • Accurate and timely inspection of parts using a variety of precision measuring tools (Romer Arm, CMM, Planar, hand tools, etc.)
  • Understanding and using manufacturing ERP systems.
  • Following instructions, procedures, specifications, and requirements for all jobs.
  • Able to complete documentation properly and accurately according to HAW Quality standards.
  • Interpreting customer drawings and performing inspection for conformance
  • Critical thinking to uphold quality requirements in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Preferred understanding of AS9100, ISO, and Nadcap requirements but not required
  • Able to perform visual weld inspection preferred but not required
  • Ability to perform part marking, pressure testing, and daily calibration activities
  • General shop housekeeping and following safety policies and guidelines
Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • 1 – 2 years’ experience in a Quality position in a manufacturing environment.
  • Understanding of basic inspection gauges, calipers, and other precision measuring tools.
  • Understanding of drawings, blueprints, and basic GD&T.
  • Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations.
  • Ability to read, interpret, and follow customer specifications, internal procedures, and work instructions
  • Able to lift and carry up to 25 lbs.
Required Technical Competencies
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient computer skills
  • Microsoft Office
  • Experience with ERP Systems;
    Epicor Vista preferred
  • Understanding of quality requirements, customer flow-downs, AS9100/ISO approvals
  • Ability to communicate, ask clarifying questions and understand the workflow to properly troubleshoot issues
