Hartzell Aerospace Welding is seeking a highly skilled and experienced TIG Welder III to join our team. This role is responsible for performing complex TIG welding operations on a variety of metals, ensuring high‑quality welds that meet industry standards and engineering specifications.

• Perform TIG (GTAW) welding on thin‑gauge materials (typically 0.035"–0.065"), including aluminum, stainless steel, and specialty alloys
• Demonstrated expertise welding aluminum alloys such as 6061
• Fabrication and welding of customer parts and assemblies as requested
• Handle high variety, low volume part work
• Ensure 90%+ of completed parts pass inspection
• Offer viable semi‑annual process improvement initiatives
• Follow all safety policies and guidelines
• Complete all necessary documentation for proper tracking of work
• General shop housekeeping

• TIG welding machines
• Belt sanders, hand‑held sanders and grinders
• Powered saws
• Various hand tools
• In‑process inspection tools such as measuring tapes, radial/digital calipers, height gauges, etc.

• High School diploma or GED
• Successful completion of an accredited welding course or equivalent on‑the‑job training and 5+ years of TIG welding experience, with at least 3 years focused on thin‑gauge aluminum
• Ability to complete AWS D17.1 class A multi‑position weld test
• Proven ability to weld material under 1/8" thickness without distortion
• Willing and able to follow verbal and written work instructions
• Ability to stand or sit for prolonged periods
• Demonstrated ability to perform basic mathematical calculations in fractions and decimals
• Ability to lift and/or carry up to 50 lbs
