Pay Range: $30-$35/hr

What’s the Job?

• Places orders for direct materials by reviewing supply and demand requirements to support production needs.
• Maintains appropriate inventory levels by balancing cost‑efficient purchase quantities with inventory‑turnover goals.
• Adheres to established QMS purchasing procedures and documentation standards to ensure full compliance.
• Reviews and validates requisitions, confirming proper approvals and account coding before processing.
• Communicates with suppliers as needed to secure favorable pricing, quantities, shipping terms, and service commitments.
• Enters purchase order details accurately and takes full ownership of ensuring all information is correct.
• Updates purchase orders and adjusts pricing when necessary, following internal guidelines for changes.
• Collaborates closely with the Receiving team to confirm that materials arrive as expected and resolve any discrepancies.
• Supports the return‑to‑vendor process by coordinating documentation and follow‑up when materials must be sent back.
• Monitors all open purchase orders, following up on overdue items and expediting shipments in line with company policy.
• Assists in managing inventories for purchased molding components and raw materials to maintain consistent supply levels.
• Helps oversee and maintain relationships with sub‑suppliers to support ongoing purchasing needs.
• Participates in the supplier certification process to ensure vendors meet company standards.
• Implements and supports minimum/maximum inventory strategies.
• Performs additional duties and tasks assigned by the Lead to support departmental operations.

What’s Needed?

• High School Diploma/GED required.
• Associates or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 3+ years’ experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
• Epicor or similar ERP experience preferred.
• The position must be able to lift a minimum of 30 lbs unaided.
• Proficient in word processing and spreadsheet software (Microsoft Suite preferred).
• Must be able to prioritize multiple tasks and carry them to timely completion.
