Job Summary

The Operations & Fulfillment Technician plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth movement of materials, finished products, and essential supplies across all sections of the facility, which is crucial for maintaining operational efficiency. This position demands a focused commitment to maintaining a continuous flow of resources while ensuring high standards of quality throughout the process. Adhering to safety protocols is essential to prevent incidents that might disrupt operations or risk employee safety.

By focusing on these elements, The Operations & Fulfillment Tech ensures the team can achieve optimal performance, reduce downtime, and enhance overall productivity, ensuring a safe and supportive work environment for everyone involved.

Essential Job Functions
  • Tool inspection and maintenance: evaluates production tooling and coordinates retooling when necessary; cleans production tooling and manages its inventory.
  • Job kitting (preparing parts and tools for jobs): reads pick lists and kitting orders and creates packing lists, BOL and other required shipping documents.
  • Inventory management (receiving, stocking, shipping, cycle counts): utilizes ERP to document work, process shipments, and move finished goods/components for inventory.
  • Supports Material Handler and shipping/receiving efforts as needed.
  • Drives a forklift or other PIT equipment during loading and unloading of trailers and containers.
  • Uses computer and computerized equipment such as scanners for accurate product placement.
  • Supplies orders (ensures materials are available when needed).
  • Sterile product packing and processing.
  • Planning, build, subcontract interactions, and receiving.
  • Completes miscellaneous packaging jobs.
  • Warehouse organization, cleaning, and upkeep.
  • Participates in continuous improvement and safety initiatives as directed.
  • Maintains a clean and orderly warehouse including removal of production waste and operation of floor cleaning equipment.
  • Communicates effectively and professionally with supervisors, managers, co‑workers, and vendors/guests.
  • Maintains good attendance in accordance with company guidelines.
  • Works in a safe manner, follows all safety rules, and reports any potential safety hazards to management.
  • Other tasks as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Education:

    High school diploma or equivalent training and/or experience.
  • Experience:

    Must have recent Inventory Management and Forklift Operator experience.
  • Strong mechanical understanding.
  • High level of attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills with a focus on action.
  • Strong organization skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize a busy workload.
  • Ability to follow and comply with all building safety rules and policies.
  • Ability to read shipping orders and packing list information provided by vendor.
  • Must be self‑motivated and team oriented.
  • Ability to read and write English.
  • Ability to wrap product and label product quickly.
  • Ability to keep work area clean and organized.
Physical/Mental Requirements

Physical Demands:
Medium Work – lifting of 50 pounds maximum.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand and walk (up to 8 hours a day). The employee is frequently required to use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls, and reach with hands and arms. Must have full range of motion and unrestricted use of upper extremities and perform overhead reaching.

Must be able to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to bend (to the floor), twist, and kneel.

The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Employees lifting over 50 pounds must ask for assistance. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee occasionally works near moving mechanical parts.

The noise level in the work environment is within prescribed OSHA guidance levels.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to odors associated with plastics manufacturing.
