Position: Production Scheduler (Aerospace Industry)
Location: St. Paul

The Production Scheduler is responsible for planning, developing, and communicating the production schedule for the X-Ray Department to achieve appropriate inventory levels and meet delivery goals. This position will monitor the status of production results and prepares reports on results against plan.

What will you do?
  • Create monthly input production schedules and review with Operations Manager/Sales/Production Control
  • Coordinate scheduling of both dependent and independent demand
  • Work closely with Sales, Manufacturing, Engineering and Purchasing to determine resource constraints and develop action plans to meet customer needs
  • Enter specific sales order information into the production schedule based on requested delivery dates and availability of materials & equipment
  • Record and track production progress daily and make schedule adjustments and supply adjustments, as needed.
  • Maintain the production schedule for all processes, reviewing daily to adjust for changes in customer requirements, delay of raw materials and equipment availability
  • Analyze production data from QAD/MFGPro system
  • Drive the deployment of the supply planning process and the overall SOP process across the Manufacturing site.
  • Generate report on past due tracking and planning for all processes within the plant
  • Document work instructions within the production control team
  • Acquire additional certifications and credentials as required for work or career development
What will make you a successful candidate?
  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration or related field preferred
  • 5+ years previous experience in a planning/scheduling position required.
  • Attention to detail, ability to communicate at all levels of the organization
  • Working knowledge of MS Office Suite
  • Strong working knowledge of MS Excel
  • Ability to work with others through complex situations
