Sanimax is looking to hire a 2nd Shift Production Supervisor in our South St. Paul location. Schedule is Monday-Friday 2pm to 10:30pm.

Stable company that has been in business for 85+ yearsPOSITION PURPOSE The Production Supervisor will be responsible for managing production operations by empowering and motivating employees to function as a team in the areas of receiving, unloading and processing of raw materials to accomplish the company’s objectives.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES Ensure that safety initiatives and programs as directed by the Environmental Health and Safety Coordinator are being carried out Maintain a highly trained and motivated work force
Complete individual performance evaluations
Ensure that all equipment including the boilers, air scrubbers and other process equipment is operated in an efficient manner
Generate an annual operations budget for all production labor
Ensure that the fleet, processing facilities, and building and grounds are maintained in a manner which meets all company and government safety and environmental requirements
In coordination with the Plant Manager and Maintenance Manager ensure that all daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly inspections get completed as required. LEADERSHIP COMPETENCIES Drives operational performance through initiative, coaching, training, delegation and accountability in addressing opportunities and problems.
Looks for and implements improvement opportunities.
Takes responsibility for own personal growth and development.
Fosters open and consistent communication with own work team and other work groups including but not limited to Production Planner and support Team, Transportation, Procurement and Finished Goods Sales Team.
Coaches and develops employees through constructive feedback and facilitation of professional growth
Fosters teamwork
Ability to take action and make decisions in a fast-paced environment MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS High school education or equivalent is required. Preferred Technical or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations Management or a related field.
Previous experience in managing and supervising a production team in a manufacturing and continuous process environment
