Tools Design Engineer

Overview

Twin City Staffing is hiring Tool and Die Designers (Level I and Level II) to support a precision manufacturing environment. These roles focus on designing and developing tool and die solutions that support efficient production, quality, and performance. Ideal candidates have strong mechanical design skills and experience with CAD-based tooling design.

Location: Saint Paul, MN

Wage:

• Tool and Die Designer I: $36 – $44 per hour
• Tool and Die Designer II: $42 – $51 per hour
• Pay based on experience and level

Hours:

• 1st shift: 6:00 AM – 3:30 PM
• Monday – Thursday

• Design and develop tool and die concepts based on manufacturing and customer requirements
• Create detailed blueprints, 3D models, and flat blank geometry
• Use Solid Works, Logo Press, and Cadkey for tooling and die design
• Coordinate with manufacturing to support production needs
• Ensure tooling meets quality, functionality, and production standards

• Experience in tool and die or mechanical design (level based on role)
• Proficiency with CAD software such as Solid Works and Logo Press
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes
• Ability to interpret specifications and production requirements
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
