Medical Plastics Assembler

6am – 6pm schedule, rotating. $18 M – F and $19 on weekend days. Pattern of two days on, two days off, three days on, two days off, providing a predictable shift structure in a high-volume production setting.

This role focuses on assembling medical-grade plastic components in a high-volume, clean-room regulated environment. You will load needle inserts into plastic injection molds, inspect parts for quality, and complete necessary documentation to support consistent, high-quality production. The position involves both sitting and standing throughout the shift and requires strong fine motor skills to handle very small parts safely and accurately.

• Load needle inserts into plastic injection molds by carefully positioning the eye of a needle over metal tabs or into designated holes.
• Operate plastic injection machines and related equipment in a high-volume production environment.
• Remove finished parts from machines and perform visual and tactile inspections to ensure quality standards are met.
• Sort small plastic components accurately and efficiently according to production requirements.
• Label parts, containers, and packaging accurately to maintain clear traceability and inventory control.

• Solid fine motor skills with the ability to work precisely with tiny parts.
• Comfort working in a high-volume production or manufacturing environment.
• Ability to operate basic production or manufacturing machinery and follow standard operating procedures.
• Capability to sort parts and components accurately and consistently.
• Willingness and physical ability to sit and stand for extended periods depending on machine assignment.

The role is based in a medical components plastics division operating in a clean-room regulated facility. You will work around industrial plastic injection molding machinery in one of the most ventilated molding shops in the area, where the air may carry a light plastic resin smell. The environment is relaxed but very quality focused, with a strong emphasis on cleanliness and adherence to clean-room protocols.

You will rotate across different machines and workstations, with some assignments requiring more standing and others more sitting.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Vadnais Heights, MN.

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $19.00/hr.
