Plater Job Description
Join our team in the plating area where you will operate machines to dip products in various chemicals, altering their chemical properties. This role involves determining the duration of the dipping process, similar to the concept of gold-plated jewelry. We seek a candidate with a positive attitude, trainable, and ideally with prior plating knowledge.
Responsibilities- Set up and control the plating line to coat metal objects for protective or decorative purposes according to customer specifications.
- Monitor the quality of the plating solution and inspect finished parts.
- Read work orders to determine specific plating instructions.
- Follow instructions from job routings and supervisory personnel to produce quality parts while maintaining desired production levels.
- Process products in appropriate cleaning and rinsing baths.
- Process products in plating solution for the required amount of time.
- Remove plated products from solutions periodically and inspect them to ensure conformance to customer specifications.
- Examine parts visually at the end of the process and measure thickness using instruments to ensure parts meet customer specifications.
- Complete all required paperwork for each job.
- Report to management on activities and issues.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as needed.

- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
Skills & Qualifications
- Occasional bending, stooping, reaching, climbing
Work in a manufacturing/distribution facility environment that can reach up to 90 degrees in the summer and has chemical odors. You'll be exposed to heat, humidity, dust, fumes, gases, toxic/caustic chemicals, airborne particles, and loud noise. The role requires mandatory use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as safety goggles, hearing protection, steel-toed work boots, and safety gloves. The position is on 2nd Shift from 2:30 pm to 11:00 pm, Monday to Friday, with initial training on 1st shift from 6:00 am to 2:30 pm, Monday to Friday.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Saint Paul, MN.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $18.00 - $25.00/hr.
