Flint Hills Resources is seeking an Operation Technician to work at our asphalt plant in St. Paul, MN. The role involves ensuring the overall operation of the terminal, including receipt and shipment of raw materials and asphalt products, manufacturing of asphalt, lab testing, inspection, record‑keeping, computer tasks, and general equipment maintenance. The technician will coordinate with schedulers to support delivery and receipt of asphalt products and meet customer demand.

- Ability to meet all physical requirements
- Valid driver’s license
- Willing and able to respond within approximately a 45‑minute drive of the terminal in St. Paul, MN
- Medical approval to participate in the respiratory protection and HAZWOPER programs
- Physical ability to frequently stand, walk, lift, carry, push, pull, reach, handle, bend, twist, climb, and balance
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds (with frequent carrying of up to 25 pounds)
- Ability to respond to audio alarms or other loud noises indicating a safety concern
- Must work near moving mechanical parts, in wet or humid conditions, outdoor weather conditions, high or precarious places, and around fumes or airborne particles and toxic or caustic chemicals
- Two or more years of operations or maintenance experience in a storage terminal
- A two‑year technical or mechanical degree
- Experience in a bulk storage terminal and/or pipeline operation
- Mechanical, electrical, or process work experience
Salary: $25–$30 per hour. Variable pay may be issued as a bonus.
