Your Role

As our next Production Training Specialist, you'll be at the forefront of shaping our organization's success. Responsibilities:
* Identify training needs by evaluating the strengths and weaknesses of employees in Production.
* Translate requirements into training activities that will prepare employees for the next step of their career path.
* Build training programs specific to equipment and processes.
* Collaborate with Production leadership to develop and work instructions, job aids, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's).
* Provide backup Production Lead support as needed.
* Operate all machines in production and provide training to others on the machines.
* Build a strategic plan and cross-train team in accordance with Production leadership direction and guidance.
* Review and refine the current training documentation and ensure all documentation is relevant to tasks being performed in the department.
* Participate in continuous improvement.
* Able to fill in for other positions across Production when needed.
* Performs other job duties and/or projects to meet business needs.
Qualifications:
Basic Requirements:
* 2 or 4-year degree preferred or equivalent years of experience.
* Experience in a production environment required.
* Knowledge of production and quality process controls and ability to assess compliance.
* Sound decision-making and organizational skills required.
* Ability to present complex information to individuals processing a range of skills and experience.
* Work collaboratively with production, engineering, Environment, Health, and Safety team members.
* Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office).
* This role may require less than 5% of travel, domestically. Candidates should be comfortable with occasional travel as needed to support business objectives.
Preferred
Skills:
* Proven experience and knowledge of training programs - creation and implementation preferred.
* Ergonomic, safety, and continuous improvement knowledge preferred.
* Master Control experience preferred.
* Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing practices preferred.
