This role operates fabrication equipment in a machine shop to produce high-quality parts used in the builds of concrete pump trucks. You will work directly from blueprints and written instructions while using a variety of fabrication tools and machines to ensure precision, consistency, and adherence to quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Operate fabrication equipment, including press brakes, plasma cutters, water jets, burn tables, and CNC machines, to produce parts for concrete pump truck builds.
• Read and interpret blueprints and written instructions to fabricate parts accurately to specification.
• Set up, adjust, and run press brakes and other fabrication machinery to complete assigned production tasks.
• Use MIG welding techniques and basic assembly skills to assist in building and finishing components as needed.
• Inspect fabricated parts for quality, accuracy, and adherence to tolerances, making adjustments as required.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area within the machine shop.
• Collaborate with team members and participate in cross-training across different fabrication and production tasks.
• Follow all safety procedures and guidelines while operating fabrication and welding equipment.
• Support production goals by working efficiently and being open to overtime when needed.

Work Environment

The work environment is a clean, organized welding and fabrication shop with an open layout. Compared with many industrial facilities, it is not overly loud or dusty. Standard hours are typically 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, with heavy overtime commonly available, often extending shifts to approximately 5:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. The facility operates as a structured machine shop environment where employees use fabrication equipment such as press brakes, plasma cutters, water jets, CNC machines, and welding tools while adhering to safety and cleanliness standards.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Saint Paul, MN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $28.00/hr eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
