Material Handler to join our Parts Department. In this role, you'll play a critical part in keeping production moving by receiving incoming materials, accurately pulling and delivering parts, preparing shipments, and ensuring inventory is organized and available when needed. You'll Do
- Pull parts according to production schedules and deliver materials to the assembly floor.
- Receive, unload, inspect, and process incoming shipments.
- Package, crate, and prepare domestic spare parts orders for shipment.
- Review shipping schedules, bills of lading, and shipping documentation for accuracy.
- Load and unload trucks and containers using material handling equipment.
- Stock inventory and establish locations for new inventory items.
- Notify production teams when incoming parts arrive and fulfill production backorders.
- Work closely with warehouse, shipping, receiving, and production teams to ensure timely material flow.
- Maintain adequate shipping and packaging supplies.
- Assist with inventory organization and general warehouse operations.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of three years of warehouse, shipping, receiving, or distribution experience.
- Forklift certification or the ability to become certified.
- Experience using computers to access shipping information, inventory, and customer orders.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work efficiently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Work approximately 85% of the time inside a manufacturing facility and 15% outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Safely lift, carry, push, and pull materials as required throughout the workday.
- Frequently stand, walk, bend, reach, and move materials throughout the warehouse and production areas.
- Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
