What You'll Do
As a Material Handler, you'll help ensure customer orders are processed accurately and shipped safely by:
- Operating saws and other equipment to cut, process, package, and prepare material for shipment
- Safely operating forklifts, Raymond side loaders, and overhead cranes to move steel throughout the warehouse
- Loading and unloading trucks using material handling equipment
- Pulling, staging, and assembling customer orders
- Receiving, inspecting, and verifying incoming materials
- Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Working closely with your team to meet daily production and shipping goals
What We're Looking For
We're looking for dependable, safety-minded individuals who enjoy working in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Manufacturing, warehouse, or fabrication experience
- Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn
- Experience using tape measures, calipers, micrometers, or other measuring tools
- Experience operating forklifts, overhead cranes, side loaders, saws, or packaging equipment (preferred but not required—we'll train the right candidate)
- Basic math and computer skills
- Ability to read blueprints or shop drawings is a plus
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and move throughout an 8-hour shift
- Ability to regularly lift and maneuver up to 50 pounds
- Ability to work safely around heavy equipment and steel products
