Machine Operator I

A Day in the Life:

  • Operate a variety of production machines, including countersink, ream, tap, deburr, tumble, oil, wash, flattener, and shaker equipment
  • Monitor machine operations to ensure parts meet quality and specification requirements
  • Notify your supervisor immediately if production or quality issues arise
  • Perform visual inspections to verify finished parts meet customer specifications
  • Keep machines and work areas clean and organized after each completed operation
  • Follow all company safety procedures and manufacturing best practices
  • Work collaboratively with teammates to meet production schedules and customer deadlines
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

Required

Skills & Experience:

  • Ability to learn and safely operate various production machines
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Good problem‑solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to read and understand work instructions written in English
  • Clear verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong time management skills and ability to meet production goals
  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • 0–1 years of metal fabrication or manufacturing experience preferred

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout the shift
  • Ability to perform repetitive tasks while maintaining attention to detail
  • Ability to frequently use hands and arms for operating equipment and handling materials
  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs regularly and up to 50 lbs occasionally
  • Visual acuity for close work, depth perception, and quality inspection
