Schedule:

6AM – 3PM Monday to Thursday & Fridays 6AM – 12PM

Pay Range: $35-45/hr

Job Summary

The CNC Milling Programmer is responsible for programming and optimizing CNC vertical machining centers to produce high-precision tooling components. This role also supports quality assurance through Inspec Vision programming and manages tooling, cutting tool inventory, and Die Room materials to ensure efficient production operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Create, edit, and optimize CNC programs using CAM software such as Mastercam or GibbsCAM.
  • Program the Inspec Vision optical inspection system to support automated quality verification.
  • Interpret blueprints, CAD models, technical drawings, and GD&T specifications to develop effective machining strategies.
  • Create clear setup and program documentation, including tooling, machine setup, tool paths, and machining instructions.
  • Troubleshoot machining issues and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, quality, and cycle times.
  • Purchase and manage cutting tools and tooling materials, monitor inventory levels, and coordinate replenishment.
  • Maintain accurate programming documentation and update programs as designs or processes change.
  • Collaborate with engineering, production, and operations teams to support manufacturing goals.
  • Stay current on CNC programming, machining technologies, and industry best practices.
  • Follow all safety procedures and perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
  • 5+ years of CNC programming experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably metal stamping or tooling.
  • Proficiency with CAM software such as Mastercam or GibbsCAM and G-code programming.
  • Strong knowledge of CNC milling operations, tooling selection, feeds and speeds, and machining processes.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, CAD models, and GD&T specifications.
  • Experience optimizing tooling, machining processes, and production efficiency.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • High attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
  • Working knowledge of manufacturing safety standards and procedures.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience programming optical inspection systems, such as Inspec Vision.
  • Experience supporting tooling procurement, inventory management, and die room operations.
