We’re searching for a Learning & Development Manager |Marketing (Contract) to build the training engine that powers a national marketing network. Is it you? This one year contract with FTE possibility will be on-site at our client’s southeast suburbs location 3 days a week.
About the RoleOur client is growing and their affiliate marketing network is growing fast. With that growth comes the need for structure, scalability, and consistency. We’re looking for an experienced Learning & Development Manager to design and launch a formal marketing training program that will elevate performance across the organization.
This is a high-impact, manager-level contract role with strong potential to convert to FTE. You’ll build the curriculum from the ground up, replacing ad-hoc shadowing with a structured, repeatable, best-in-class learning experience. From business acumen to digital strategy to performance reporting, your work will shape how marketing teams learn, grow, and win.

What You’ll Do- Design and build a comprehensive marketing training curriculum from the ground up.
- Develop learning tracks covering:
- Business acumen and holistic business understanding
- Client best practices and brand standards
- Digital marketing (SEM, SEO, display, video)
- Social media strategy (organic + paid)
- Traditional and non-traditional marketing (events, canvassing, direct mail, partnerships)
- Lead generation, lead quality, and appointment setting
- BI reporting and marketing performance dashboards
- Spend tracking and budget management
- Onboarding and business systems access
- Translate complex marketing data and tools into practical, easy-to-understand learning modules.
- Build presentations, playbooks, manuals, templates, exercises, and workshop materials.
- Create online training modules for the platform in partnership with the tech team.
- Lead bi-monthly (potentially quarterly) in-person training sessions (2–3 days) at HQ and regional training centers.
- Facilitate workshops, hands-on labs, and real-world scenario practice.
- Deliver engaging sessions for both new and experienced marketing team members.
- Ensure alignment across brand standards, messaging, and marketing best practices.
- Own the full training lifecycle: planning, scheduling, attendance tracking, evaluations, and follow-ups.
- Maintain and version all training materials in a centralized content library.
Update curriculum to reflect evolving tools, systems, and marketing strategies—including an 18-month CRM transition to Salesforce. - Gather feedback and continuously improve the program.
- Partner with digital, BI, brand, and functional leaders to ensure content accuracy and relevance.
- Present progress updates to senior leadership and advisory committees.
- Collaborate with a training coordinator for creative and production support (Canva, materials, logistics).
- Proven experience in Learning & Development, with strong curriculum design expertise.
- Experience building scalable training programs from scratch.
- Background in marketing, digital marketing, or franchise/affiliate environments preferred.
- Strong facilitation skills and confidence presenting to diverse audiences.
- Ability to simplify complex data, systems, and marketing strategies into actionable learning.
Experience managing multi-day, in-person training programs. - Strong program management skills—organized, proactive, and detail-oriented.
- Comfort navigating evolving systems and large-scale change (CRM transitions a plus).
- Collaborative mindset with the ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders.
- Hybrid work flexibility (in-office Tuesday–Thursday).
This is a one year contract opportunity with FTE potential.
Target FTE salary range: $125,000–$140,000 + Annual Incentive Plan eligibility.
