The MNCAN VISTA member will strengthen and expand the Minnesota College Access Network's (MNCAN) digital infrastructure, communications, and operational sustainability to increase engagement and improve access to college readiness resources statewide. The member will assess current website and digital resource systems, identify gaps, and update and maintain the MNCAN webpage to ensure content is current, accessible, and useful for partners and stakeholders.
They will document processes, procedures, templates, and evaluation tools to create sustainable systems and develop training materials to support staff and future volunteers in managing core functions. The member will also lead communications efforts by designing and implementing a network-wide communication plan, managing social media platforms, and creating engaging content to promote events, resources, and policy priorities. Responsibilities include drafting newsletters, alerts, and external messaging, and developing a menu of activities and initiatives that community leaders can use to support college access efforts.
Additionally, the member will serve as an administrator and support coordinator, implementing feedback mechanisms to track participation, outcomes, and community satisfaction to inform continuous improvement. The member will conduct research and analysis on local and national college access and affordability policies, summarizing findings to build organizational knowledge and share evidence-based practices. All activities focus on capacity-building, research, and information sharing and will not include advocacy or lobbying.

Member Duties :
Ameri Corps members will strengthen Minnesota
CAN's capacity by improving digital infrastructure, communications, and sustainable systems. They will design and implement communication plans, create newsletters and social media content, and share resources, events, and policy updates with partners statewide. Members will also gather feedback, track participation and outcomes, and conduct research on college access and affordability policies to inform network learning.
All activities focus on capacity building, coordination, and information sharing to increase college opportunity for low-income students.
