Habitat for Humanity brings people together to create and preserve home ownership in our neighborhoods, to partner with hard‑working, low‑income families to be successful homeowners, and to inspire action that promotes affordable housing for everyone in our community. We’re best known for our Home ownership program where volunteers build and rehab simple, quality homes in partnership with low‑income families and the community. We sell the homes with affordable mortgages, making a 30‑year commitment to each new homeowner and to the community in which they live.
We also preserve home ownership by helping low‑income homeowners repair and maintain their homes through our A Brush with Kindness (ABWK) program.
The Twin Cities Habitat for Humanity Ameri Corps members receive a living allowance to serve full‑time, building strength and stability alongside homebuyer families, all while gaining real‑world experience. Ameri Corps members engage with thousands of volunteers throughout the year and are integral to our mission. As an Ameri Corps member, you can serve in a leadership role on an active build site assisting families, volunteers, and staff.
By taking on new challenges and seeing the results of your service, you will have the opportunity to learn, grow, and have some fun along the way.
