Work Location:

Flexible. We welcome applications from candidates based in Minneapolis/St. Paul, MN or Antigua Guatemala, Guatemala. This position follows a hybrid work model, with a combination of remote and in-person work. Regular in-person participation is expected based on organizational needs and the candidate's location.

Compensation:
Compensation is determined based on the candidate's country of employment, qualifications, and relevant experience.
For U.S.

-based candidates: $35–$38 per hour.
For Guatemala-based candidates: Compensation will be determined according to Common Hope's local salary structure and employment practices.

Work Authorization:
Candidates must have current authorization to work in their country of employment. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.

The Grant Writer supports Common Hope’s fundraising efforts by identifying, developing, and submitting high‑quality grant proposals and reports. Working collaboratively with the Head of Individual Giving and Grants, the Development team, and cross‑departmental teams, this role focuses on executing institutional fundraising efforts, ensuring timely submissions, and maintaining strong alignment between programmatic priorities, donor requirements, and organizational strategy.

This position requires strong relationship‑building skills and the ability to work effectively in a multicultural, mission‑driven environment, helping connect donors with the transformative impact of Common Hope’s work.

• Grant Research & Prospect Identification
  • Research and identify potential funding opportunities from foundations, corporations, and institutional donors.
  • Maintain a pipeline of prospective funders aligned with organizational priorities.
  • Track deadlines, requirements, and funding cycles.
• Proposal Development & Submission
  • Execute grant proposals aligned with strategy defined by the Head of Individual Giving and Grants.
  • Prepare and submit compelling grant proposals, letters of inquiry (LOIs), and supporting documentation.
  • Collaborate with program and finance teams to gather required information (budgets, impact data, narratives).
  • Ensure proposals are aligned with donor priorities, programmatic needs, and organizational strategy.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of proposal quality through feedback, learning, and analysis of funding outcomes.
• Grant Management & Reporting
  • Prepare and submit timely, accurate grant reports in compliance with donor requirements.
  • Track grant deliverables, reporting deadlines, and compliance requirements.
  • Ensure consistency between proposals, reports, and program outcomes.
  • Serve as the primary owner of grant calendars, proposal schedules, reporting deadlines, and compliance tracking, in coordination with the Head of Individual Giving and Grants.
