This position plays a key role in advancing the organization’s fundraising and donor engagement efforts by supporting key elements of MPR|APM’s comprehensive campaign, including Philanthropic Advisory Councils, major individual giving, donor stewardship, and database management. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and passionate about nonprofit work, with at least two years of experience in development or donor relations.

Expected Compensation Range: $24.50 - $30 per hour. The exact salary rate is determined by experience and education related to the role, organizational compensation structure, and internal equity.

Location: Hybrid, St. Paul, MN

Administrative support for Philanthropic Advisory Councils

  • Provide meeting and organizational support for Philanthropic Advisory Councils, six volunteer groups who support the work of Marketplace, Your Classical and The Current.
  • Schedule Council meetings, update calendars, draft emails and other communications
  • Create materials for Council meetings to facilitate Council learning and engagement
  • Manage tools such as Diligent One, Sharepoint, Outlook calendar, and Airtable
  • Attend Advisory Council meetings as needed, taking accurate notes, and assisting with meeting logistics
  • Support Council member engagement logistics, including tours and other experiences with MPR|APM staff and volunteers
  • Build collaborative relationships on and off our team.

Data & Research

  • Work with team members to ensure data cleanliness in Salesforce database
  • Create governance bios, event profiles, and other donor information as requested by fundraisers or senior leaders
  • Support major & planned gift fundraising programs with data entry as needed
  • Complete donor research using tools such as Lexis Nexis, Windfall, iWave, and others
  • Ensure compliance with data privacy and ethical fundraising standards

Donor Relations & Stewardship

  • Provide support for ongoing donor acknowledgement, renewal & tax substantiation processes
  • Assist with donor stewardship activities, including impact reports, donor recognition, video stewardship, on-air messages, and personalized communications
  • Support volunteer engagement in our stewardship processes, compiling information and communicating with volunteers
  • Learn team processes to be able to backfill as needed
  • Update or create process documentation / SOPs as needed
  • Other duties as assigned

Required

Education and Experience:

  • HS Degree or Equivalent Experience
  • Minimum of two years relevant work experience related to administrative support in a fast-paced environment.
  • Significant experience using customer or constituent databases (Salesforce highly preferred), MS Office Suite:
    Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, Share Point

  • Exceptional written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills

Preferred

Skills and Experience:

  • Previous experience with nonprofit fundraising, board members, and volunteers strongly preferred
  • Ability to take on and use technology to improve processes and donor experience
