Bookkeeper

Position Summary

The Bookkeeper (10 hours/month position) plays an important role in supporting this small nonprofit. This position supports the Executive Director and Program Manager by tracking state and federal grants as well as keeping track of all Quickbook Projects. The role will require excellent time management, proficiency with Quickbooks, MN ITS, Google Suite, and a commitment to supporting Como Connects’ mission.

• Receive, track, and follow up on the Como Connects budget reports- monthly, quarterly and annually.

• Work with the Executive Director to submit quarterly reports and track 941 data.
• Work with Executive Director to develop budgets for new grant applications.

• Submit quarterly, biannual and yearly financial reports to foundations and state entities using grant management portals

• Demonstrated experience with bookkeeping
• Experience with not for profit and DHS grant management accounting and reporting systems.
• Ability to independently manage multiple tasks and maintain accurate records.
• Experience working with budgets (specifically match dollar amounts and state reimbursement programs), nonprofit experience preferred.
• Proficiency with Quickbooks.

• Proficiency with Google Suite.

Role is part-time contract: 10 hours per month, timing somewhat flexible to your schedule.

Pay of $30 per hour.

Como Connects links older adults in the Como Park/Falcon Heights area with community resources, using staff and volunteers. Our services support independence, increase opportunities for socialization, and promote safety for adults as they age.

Originally named Como Park/Falcon Heights Living at Home Block Nurse Program, it was founded in May of 1993 by District 10 resident Audrey Roedl. Since then, the program has continued to grow. We are supported by private donations, a MN Live Well at Home grant, and a combination of city, county, and state funding. We provide services to residents aged 65 and better in Como Park and Falcon Heights.
