Major Donor Stewardship VISTA

The Major Donor Stewardship VISTA will build organizational capacity by developing sustainable donor stewardship infrastructure that staff can continue using beyond the VISTA service year. Throughout the service term, the VISTA will assess existing stewardship practices and create standardized tools including donor communication templates, stewardship workflows, impact reporting resources, recognition materials, tracking systems, documentation procedures, and sustainability guides. Assess existing donor stewardship, communications, and engagement practices to identify opportunities for improved sustainability and consistency.

Develop standardized campaign donor stewardship workflows that document best practices for executive leadership use. Create donor communication templates, including thank-you letters, stewardship emails, impact updates, and recognition materials. Design an annual donor stewardship calendar that outlines aggressive recommended touchpoints and communication timelines for staff. Develop impact reporting templates and storytelling resources that help staff consistently communicate program outcomes to supporters.

Create donor tracking tools and documentation processes that improve consistency and preserve institutional knowledge. Build a centralized library of stewardship resources, templates, and communications for future staff use. Document standard operating procedures (SOPs) for donor stewardship activities to improve continuity across the organization. Collaborate with development staff to pilot the newly developed tools and gather feedback for refinement. Develop sustainability documentation and implementation guides so staff can maintain and improve donor stewardship systems after the VISTA service year concludes.

The Major Donor Stewardship VISTA will strengthen The Sanneh Foundation's long-term fundraising capacity by developing sustainable donor stewardship systems and resources that staff can continue using after the VISTA service year. These resources will improve organizational consistency, preserve institutional knowledge, and strengthen staff's ability to steward donor relationships over time. By creating lasting systems rather than conducting fundraising activities, the VISTA will help increase The Sanneh Foundation's long-term capacity to sustain programs that improve educational outcomes and economic stability for low-income youth and families.
