DescriptionMinnesota Hands & Voices is seeking a collaborative leader to oversee statewide programs supporting children who are deaf or hard of hearing and their families. Through a family-centered, peer-to-peer approach, the Director helps ensure families have access to trusted information, meaningful connections, and resources that support their child’s growth, development, and long-term success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and grow Minnesota Hands & Voices and DHH Role Model programs.
- Supervise, support, and develop a dedicated team while fostering a collaborative team culture.
- Oversee program operations, budgets, grants, contracts, quality outcomes, and evaluation activities.
- Build strong partnerships with families, community organizations, funders, referral partners, and stakeholders.
- Identify funding opportunities and support long-term program sustainability and growth.
- Represent the organization in community collaborations and initiatives
Requirements:
- Must be a parent of a child who is deaf or hard of hearing.
- Bachelor's degree and at least five years of leadership, management, or related experience.
- Strong communication, relationship-building, organizational, and leadership skills.
- Commitment to supporting families in an unbiased, inclusive, and family-centered manner.
- Experience with public policy, grants, nonprofit programs, or community engagement preferred.
- American Sign Language (ASL) and/or Cued Speech proficiency strongly preferred.
- Must have schedule flexibility, including weekends and evenings.
