Clinical Support Associate

About the Unit

Our St. Paul 6th floor is a 26-bed pediatric medical/surgical unit that cares for children from infancy through young adulthood with a variety of acute and chronic conditions. The unit treats patients with diabetes, respiratory conditions, urological surgery, and eating disorders. Patients have an average length of stay from a few days to several weeks.

Interdisciplinary teams including child life, social work, integrative medicine, dietitians, and case managers support patient care.

• Provide safe patient care as delegated by licensed nursing staff.
• Maintain equipment and supplies per unit standard.

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Completed a nursing assistant course or equivalent experience, or completed a nursing or health care related clinical practicum course.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• One year of previous Nursing Assistant experience or equivalent experience preferred.

• Proficient communication, critical thinking, and prioritization skills.
• Strong organizational and customer service skills.
• Ability to read, write, and speak effectively in English.
• Basic computer operation skills.

Salary is competitive and based on market data for similar roles. Full-time positions are 40 hours per week. Part‑time salaries are prorated. The role is eligible for medical, dental, vision, retirement, and other fringe benefits. Shift differentials or premium pay may apply for night, weekend, or on‑call work.
