Certified Nursing Assistant - Float

The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) – Float provides direct patient care and support across multiple units as needed. This role ensures high-quality care by assisting nursing staff, supporting patients with daily activities, and maintaining a safe and compassionate environment. The float position requires flexibility to adapt to different clinical settings and patient populations.

• Provide direct patient care, including assistance with daily living activities such as bathing, feeding, and mobility
• Support nursing staff with patient monitoring, vital signs, and documentation
• Assist with procedures and exams under the supervision of licensed staff
• Maintain patient comfort and safety across assigned units
• Respond promptly to patient needs and requests
• Collaborate with nurses and healthcare teams to carry out treatment plans
• Float between units based on staffing needs and patient acuity

• Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in the state of practice
• Prior experience providing patient care in a hospital or clinical setting
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to adapt quickly to different units and patient populations
• Commitment to compassionate, patient-centered care

• Experience working as a float CNA across multiple departments
• Familiarity with Epic or other electronic health record systems
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills

• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
