Job Description

This position administers family‑centered nursing care to patients, advises on health maintenance and disease prevention, and provides skilled assistance in navigating the health care system as appropriate to the developmental, cultural, emotional, and medical needs of the patient and their families. The Level III RN oversees and directs patient care activities and unit personnel, providing leadership through multidisciplinary teamwork.

  • Remain current with evidence and knowledge, accessing, assessing, and applying necessary information to practice.
  • Integrate all contributions to patient care, acting as a strategist and manager of the patient’s journey, including interdisciplinary hand‑offs.
  • Record medical histories and symptoms, assist with diagnostic tests and analysis, operate medical or information technology, administer treatments and medications, and facilitate follow‑up and rehabilitation.
  • Educate patients and families on illness management, warning signs, home care needs, diet, nutrition, mobility, exercise, self‑medication, and emergency care.
