Job DescriptionApply for the Medical Support Specialist (Plasma Center Nurse) position at Bio Life Plasma Services, a subsidiary of Takeda Pharmaceutical Company Ltd. You will support plasma center operations under the guidance of the Center Manager and Center Physician.
About the roleYou will determine donor eligibility, manage donor adverse events, review laboratory test results, and notify donors of unsuitable test results. The role supports EHS, vaccination programs, employee incidents, and potential pandemic coordination.
How you will contribute- You will determine donor eligibility; including informed consent, AIDS education, medical history interview, physical examination, blood testing, and review of serological protein electrophoresis (SPE).
- You will evaluate donor reactions and follow SOPs for medical emergencies, including developing center physician standing orders.
- You will refer to the center physician or medical affairs for unacceptable findings and guidance on medical or technical issues.
- You will support Hepatitis B and seasonal flu vaccination programs for employees.
- You will manage employee incidents and determine further evaluation by occupational health/ER.
- When authorized by EHS, you can act as Pandemic Coordinator and support investigations of pandemic threats.
- High school diploma or equivalent including graduate program from an accredited nursing school with state requirements.
- License or certification in the state of assignment: EMT-Paramedic.
- Current CPR and AED certification.
- Fulfill state requirements for basic IV therapy.
- Complete FDA‑approved training for Bio Life Medical Support Specialist.
- Two years clinical or hospital experience.

Compensation and Benefits SummaryHourly wage range: $26.88 – $36.96. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) with company match, short‑term and long‑term disability, life insurance, tuition reimbursement, paid volunteer time off, company holidays, well‑being benefits, up to 80 hours sick time, and up to 120 hours paid vacation for new hires.
