American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN
- Telemetry Float with at least 2 years of specialty experience and required Epic charting proficiency for a teaching hospital in Minnesota.
- Acute care teaching hospital with Level 3 trauma designation and 317 staffed beds
- Tele Float unit, with ability to also work Med/Surg as needed
- Patient ratio of 1:5
- 12-hour shifts, both day (7:00-19:30) and night (19:00-7:30) rotations, 3x12 schedule
- Requires working every other weekend
- No on-call requirements
- Floating required within the hospital or to nearby affiliate hospitals to meet facility needs
- Uses Epic (Excellian) charting system
- Active MN RN license required (pending license accepted)
- Minimum 2 years of recent experience in specialty required
- Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
- Prior travel nursing experience required
- Epic/Excellian charting experience required
- First-time travelers not accepted
- Minimum 1 supervisor reference required for consideration
- Provide telemetry-level nursing care with skills in cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia management, and use of rapid response/code teams
- Experience with neurological, respiratory, IV therapy, and cardiovascular conditions may be utilized depending on unit needs
- Navy blue scrubs required
- Candidates must live more than 100 miles from the facility to be considered, with no local candidate exceptions for this position
- Returning staff must have been separated from perm employment (staff or per diem) for at least 3 months prior to starting a travel assignment
- RTO requests should ideally not exceed 5 days
- Minnesota state law requires fingerprinting via Live Scan, which may require travel to a certified location if not available nearby
- Facility does not provide references to travelers post-assignment or to those who previously worked as perm employees
