American Traveler is hiring a PACU RN for a teaching hospital position requiring 1-2 years of specialty experience and Epic charting proficiency.

• PACU/Pre-Op/Phase 2 role covering both the main hospital and Day Surgery Center at the same hospital system
• 1:1 patient ratios
• Day shift 3x12-hour schedule with start times ranging from 0530 to 1100
• Weekend shifts as needed per unit needs
• No on-call requirements
• Floating required between the main hospital and Day Surgery Center, and potentially to an affiliate hospital nearby
• Uses Epic (Excellian) for charting

• Active MN RN license required (pending license accepted)
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required; NIHSS certification also required
• 1-2 years of PACU/specialty experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Epic/Excellian charting experience required
• 1 supervisor reference required

• Level 3 trauma teaching hospital with 317 staffed beds
• Provide pre-op and post-anesthesia care across a variety of surgical specialties including cardiac, neuro/spine, ortho, vascular, plastics, and more
• Scrubs provided by the unit
• Candidates must reside at least 100 miles from the facility to be eligible
• Returning staff must have been separated from perm employment (staff or per diem) for at least 3 months prior to starting
• RTO should ideally not exceed 5 days during the assignment
• First-time travelers are accepted for this role
