American Traveler is hiring a PACU RN for a teaching hospital, requiring MN RN licensure, Epic charting experience, and 1-2 years of specialty experience.

• PACU, Pre-Op, and Phase 2 recovery unit across two hospital locations (main hospital and Day Surgery Center)
• 1:1 patient ratios
• 3x12-hour day shifts with start times of 8:00am, 9:30am, and 11:00am
• Weekend shifts required as needed per unit needs
• No on-call requirements
• Floating required between the main hospital and Day Surgery Center, or to an affiliate hospital nearby
• Uses Epic (Excellian) charting system

• Active MN RN license required (pending license accepted)
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required; NIHSS preferred
• 1-2 years of PACU/specialty experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Epic charting experience required
• Skills in airway assessment, ventilated patient care, and ABG interpretation
• Experience with cardiac monitoring, IV therapy, and central line management
• Pre/post-operative patient care experience including assessments and discharge instructions

• Level 3 trauma teaching hospital with 317 staffed beds
• Provide pre-op and post-anesthesia recovery care across surgical specialties including ortho, neuro, cardiac, and general surgery
• Scrubs provided by the unit
• First-time travelers are accepted
• Must live at least 100 miles from the facility to be eligible
• Candidates must have been gone at least 3 months since last worked as perm staff or per diem to be eligible for rehire
• RTO should ideally not exceed 5 days
• Fingerprinting is required as part of Minnesota state background check compliance
