American Traveler is hiring an RN
- Telemetry Float for a 12-week night shift assignment requiring an active MN RN license, prior telemetry/med-surg experience, and Epic charting proficiency.
- Acute care teaching hospital with Level III trauma designation
- Tele Float unit with ability to work telemetry or med/surg patient assignments
- Night shift schedule (3x12 hours, 19:00-07:30)
- Every other weekend required
- No on-call responsibilities
- Floating required within the hospital or to nearby affiliate hospitals as needed
- 1:5 patient ratio
- No block scheduling accommodations
- Active or pending MN RN license required
- BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
- Minimum 1 year of recent experience in specialty required (2 years preferred for charge-level experience)
- Prior travel nursing experience required
- Epic (Excellian) charting experience required
- Experience with cardiac telemetry, MS/Tele, and stepdown patient populations
- Skills in cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia management, and interpretation preferred
- Experience with central line, PICC line, and peripheral line care preferred
- Minimum of 1 supervisor reference required for consideration
- Documentation required for consideration includes date of birth, SSN, and certification copies
- Provide telemetry-level nursing care with floating flexibility to meet facility needs across affiliated hospitals
- Navy blue scrubs required
- Candidates must complete pre-start onboarding modules prior to assignment start
- Fingerprinting via Live Scan required as a Minnesota state compliance requirement, which may extend timeline to start
- Facility does not provide references to travelers who previously worked as permanent staff
- Returning employees must have a 3-month gap since their last shift worked in a per diem or staff role
- RTO should ideally not exceed 5 days during the assignment
- First-time travelers are accepted for this position
- Local candidates are not accepted; a 100-mile radius restriction applies for this position
