Itinerant Licensed School Nurse

Experienced Registered Nurses with a passion for supporting students can take their careers further by providing crucial healthcare support at multiple schools in a leading district. This full-time, contract role spans the school year and offers the chance to work as an itinerant Licensed School Nurse overseeing the health services at five schools.

Key

Qualifications:

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Minnesota
• Public Health Nurse license
• Valid School Nurse License from the Minnesota Board of Teaching
• Current CPR and BLS certifications
• Previous experience in school nursing or pediatric environments strongly preferred
• Excellent communication, organizational, and advocacy skills
• Ability to travel locally between assigned schools (district wide service)
• Strong assessment and triage capability to support diverse student needs

Role Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct nursing care and health education to students and staff
• Develop, coordinate, and monitor individualized health plans and emergency procedures
• Oversee medication administration and maintain health records for compliance
• Collaborate with educators, families, and healthcare providers to foster student wellbeing
• Respond to health emergencies and provide first aid as needed
• Promote healthy practices and preventive care throughout the school community
• Supervise or mentor other health professionals as assigned within the district
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to legal and ethical standards

This is an in-person assignment onlyvirtual or remote work is not an option. You'll be part of a dedicated team with plenty of autonomy and opportunities to create meaningful impact each day across the district.

Compensation for this position ranges from $17.00 to $58.00. Eligible candidates may also receive healthcare benefits, housing, and meals/incidentals.
