Quality Inspector II – Final Inspection | 2nd Shift | High‑Precision Fabrication
Become the final line of defense for product quality in a specialized metal‑fabrication environment. As a Quality Inspector II , you will ensure welded and fabricated components meet strict dimensional, structural, and visual standards across multiple product lines before they reach the customer.
What You’ll Do- Perform final inspection on welded and fabricated metal parts prior to shipment
- Inspect MIG and TIG welds for quality, integrity, and conformance to specifications
- Verify dimensional accuracy using micrometers, calipers, depth gauges, tape measures, and related tools
- Confirm compliance to tight tolerances ranging from ±0.001” to ±½”
- Identify and document nonconformances according to established quality procedures
- Enter inspection data and final acceptance results into 1factory (QMOS platform)
- Serve as the quality gatekeeper for all outgoing products, escalating issues when needed
- Evaluate weld quality including TIG coloration, bead consistency, and structural soundness
- Adjust inspection focus based on product category (Architectural vs. Water/Well vs. Gas)
- Train on new inspection technology such as Gelsite for enhanced defect detection
- Final inspection experience in metal fabrication or welding environments
- Strong proficiency with precision instruments
- Blueprint and engineering drawing interpretation
- Understanding of weld quality standards and defect identification
- High attention to detail with confidence to reject nonconforming parts
- Ability to work independently on 2nd shift

- Standard schedule:
Monday–Thursday, 3:00 PM – 1:00 AM - Training begins on 1st shift , with flexibility for swing‑shift transitions
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Saint Paul, MN.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $29.00 - $32.00/hr.
