Kelly is hiring a Laboratory Technician for one of our clients in Eagan, MN

  • Pay: $22/hr
  • Schedule:

    M-F 8am-4:30 (flexible in start/end times)
  • Employment Type:

    Temp to hire

Looking for candidates with Chemistry or Chemical experience. A mechanical aptitude and comfort with troubleshooting and operating around equipment is a plus.

Associates often work independently but will interact with multiple team members daily to share results and receive guidance. Candidates should be comfortable in a team-based environment.

Job Responsibilities
  • Perform laboratory tests under direct supervision, control variable conditions, and observe and comment on unusual events or departures from prescribed test conditions. Recommend improvements to experimental procedures.
  • Measure test results and record all data accurately and concisely in a laboratory notebook. Assist higher-level technical personnel in analyzing and interpreting experimental data. Make preliminary evaluations on results and recommend acceptance or rejection.
  • Assist in maintaining the productivity and organization of a busy research laboratory.
  • Maintain Standard Operating Procedures and make recommendations for their improvement.
  • Participate in scientific discussions and critical thinking.
  • Assemble test materials and equipment to expedite test procedures.
  • Assist in analyzing and interpreting experimental data.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work facility.
Qualifications
  • AS or BS in Chemistry or Life Sciences.
  • Familiarity with MS Office and statistical software preferred.
  • Knowledge of laboratory practices, scientific terminology, and the characterization and preparation of materials used in routine and special procedures.
  • Ability to establish and meet deadlines to produce independent results while building a network of resources in the company.
  • Ability to work well with other team members, including associates from shared services.
